We believe great service starts with a great team. At Academy Salons, we’re fortunate to have a team of people who consistently give customers a reason to return. As such, we thought it made sense to tell you a little more about them.
This month, creative designer Chloe reveals her best bit of blow-drying advice, who she’s currently following on Instagram, and which TV personality gives her “hair envy”.
Name: Chloe Hardman
Salon: Esher
Position: Creative Designer
Service: Hair
Working at Academy Salons since: 01.09.15
Specialisms: Blow-Drying & Styling
I love working for Academy Salons because of the team I work with in Esher, as well as the amount of opportunities offered by the company, such as in-salon training, catwalks and photoshoots. You can work your way up the ladder to become the best you can be!
My top hair tip would be to use rollers when you’re blow-drying. Not only will it give you that all-important extra volume, but it will also help the style set in place for a longer-lasting result.
My favourite style at the moment is Balayage. It is a very low-maintenance and versatile look that can be achieved with many different tones and depths of colour. I have noticed that many people come into the salon to ask for this specific style.
My hair inspiration is Sophia Hilton from Not Another Salon because she is a very successful hairdresser and is also extremely creative with her hair styles and colours. The way she transforms her clients’ hair inspires me to try and be more creative with my own work.
I prefer ashy tones over warm tones because they always create a blonde, icey finish that’s lovely and clean.
I would have Caroline Flack’s hair as she always has different variations of balayage, which is my favourite style.
Other than Sophia Hilton (obviously!), I would recommend following Guy Tang because he’s a very talented hairdresser and also has his own brand of colour. My other recommendation would be Emre Ayaksiz – he creates amazing hair colour transformations, most of which seem to be really clean ashy blondes.
