Our Academy Salons’ Creative Team was proud to present at HJ Live London at the ExCel arena in February, to showcase our latest techniques alongside the best in the hairdressing industry.
Sponsored by Professional Beauty London, the prestigious event was a huge success and an excellent opportunity for our creativity to shine, the team came together to innovate, educate, learn and network.

Academy Salons presented on The Fellowship for British Hairdressing stage to showcase a selection of unique styles that could be achieved in the everyday, ready for any occasion.
Using the latest Balmain and Alterna hair products during the process, the team presented a number of styles on our 4 models, including a:
Jess Mowbray, make up artist from our Weybridge salon, complimented these styles with bold red lips and sultry smokey eyes to complete their powerful looks.
“We wanted to do something that was different and that would attract attention but with great versatility, taking you from a day at the office to an evening out.” – Talia Smith, graduate stylist at our Cobham salon.
Members of the ‘Creative Team’ also had a chance to watch demonstrations on the other stages to seek upcoming hair trends and popular styles including L’Oréal Professionnel presentations and the Wahl Artistic Team to name a few.
“One of the really unique looks we found interesting was an edgy, grunge look with cable ties added in the hair. The barbering sharp work we saw was impressive as well.” – Sade Mackinnon, a salon consultant at our Claygate salon.
Our team came away inspired and excited to start trying ideas from the event in their work and our future collections to continue our innovations. We were proud to be invited to present at such a prestigious event within the industry.
