When I first started Academy salons almost 7 years ago I never thought I’d be where I am now! I am excited to say I have been promoted to Team Leader and cannot wait to help all of my team achieve their goals and my own.

I have watched the salon grow year on year and I’m excited for 2023 and the awards we have entered into for the year coming. I also love seeing all of our wonderful clients and helping them get their appointments booked in and make them feel welcome when they are in the salon. Nothing makes me happier than going above and beyond for the unlimited salon experience and seeing how happy our clients are when they visit our salons.

I first started at Academy when I was 13 years old as a Saturday girl, I then became an assistant and worked my way up Front of House leader which was a role I loved.
In 2020 I was promoted to Executive Assistant, my role working along side Salv was exciting and opened lots of opportunities.
I’m now extremely happy in my role as Retail Manager

With over 30 years’ experience in the hair and beauty industry, I still have the same passion for creative and innovative hairdressing as I did all those years ago. Having started as an apprentice, as Salon Director, I’m responsible for the successful management of five busy salons and a team of 70+ staff.

My passion for education and learning has resulted in the launch of Academy Education, which consists of weekly in-house sessions for trainees and masterclasses for all levels of proficiency. My ambition is to develop Academy Education into a fully fledged training school – inspiring and motivating the personal growth of hair and beauty professionals.

I believe hairdressing is a passion not just a job, after nearly 20 years in hairdressing starting as a Saturday girl learning the job and working up to Salon Manager I still get excited when clients sit in my chair existing or new. I love that every head of hair and person is different, finding ways to make clients hair work for them, fit in with their lives but most importantly making them feel amazing.

Since 1976, after working with hairdressing masters like Helena Rubenstein and Etienne of London, I made it my goal to introduce London flair to the suburbs of Surrey.
In 1999 I met Salv and Academy Salons was born. I invited Salv to become my business partner to drive the company forward.
The rest is history with now 5 salons and an amazing education centre we are consistently growing our business.

I joined the Academy Salons team in 2005 and together with Salv set up Academy Beauty Salons. Over the last 16 years, we’ve grown the beauty team from 2 therapists to a fantastic team of 8.

Throughout the last 27 years of my hairdressing career I could be best described as loyal, committed and clearly passionate about hairdressing.
I believe that quality and the upmost care is the most important things that my clients can expect to receive from me and I strive to ensure I continually offer that high level of service to all my clients and the clients visiting our salons.
I’m proud to say that I’m super excited to be promoted to Creative Director at Academy Salons and can’t wait to share my creative knowledge and mentor our Apprentices and Graduates to success!

I started with Academy Salons when I was 17 as an apprentice and completed my hairdressing NVQ level 1, 2 and 3 at the Academy Education training school. I loved the training process and wanted to become more involved, so I achieved my qualification as an Assessor. I’m also a member of the Artistic Team, which offers me the opportunity to expand my creative skills, working on photoshoots, presentations and fashion shows.

In 2015, I was appointed Manager of the Esher salon, and in January 2017, completed a course with Balmain to become a Balmain Educator for the South East, training and advising other salons and stylists in the art of hair extensions.

Becoming a hairdresser has always been a dream and passion of mine, I got my first taste for it working as a shampooist in a salon from the age of 13. After leaving school I started an Apprenticeship, training with the Academy and Kingston College.

Once completing my NVQ level 2 and 3, I started working at Academy Salons, working my way up to Salon Manager and learning every step of the way. I’ve been here for 19 years now and have been a manager for the last 16 years. Nothing makes me happier than seeing how happy our clients are leaving the salon after their appointments and I’m proud to be part of their journey looking after the team that looks after them whilst also getting to work on my skills on clients too.

My career started @ Academy salons Hersham where I gained my level 1, 2 & 3 in hairdressing. Wanting to give back to a fantastic industry I decided to open my own salon where I became an Educator and Salon Owner for 16 years. This helped me develop my skills and industry knowledge further to help me on my career path.

I then rejoined the Academy group over 8 years ago where I am busy working with Salv on building the Academy Salons brand and working with the Salon Managers and Team Leaders to help them grow their salons and mentoring them to achieve their goals.

I cannot wait to see what we achieve over the next few years.

After being in retail management for over 12 years, I have gained a high level of customer service experience, Which Iv been able to bring along with me in Academy to ensure all our clients are delivered the highest standard.

I joined the Academy family four years ago as a front of house in our Claygate salon. Since then I have progressed to Team Leader working alongside my Salon Manager.
We strive to push the Team to deliver a 5 star service making sure all our clients leave feeling amazing.

I love my job because no day is ever the same, it could be from engaging with a client about finding the right Hair products for them to arranging Team Events to capturing our creative teams work and sharing it on social media. I particularly enjoy working in such a fun positive team environment and have learnt so much.

I started hairdressing by completing by NVQ Hairdressing straight after leaving school. Education is so important for me and I have completed several cutting and L’Oreal colour courts throughout my 27 year’s of hairdressing. I am also a hair extension specialist.

I worked with Academy Salons over 20 years ago and after continuing my experience elsewhere I returned nearly 4 years ago. I worked really hard to achieve my goals, starting as a Salon Consultant, moving to Salon Principal and with lots of dedication and education I’ve recently been appointed Salon Manager.

I look forward to being mentored by our Director Salv to become the best Manager I can be for my team and ensure they receive the support they need to succeed.
